Planète Sauvage lodges: sleep beside tigers, cheetahs, lions or the savannah

Choose the animal experience first. At Planète Sauvage near Nantes, the four lodge settings face Malayan tigers, cheetahs, African lions or a broad savannah where giraffes, antelopes and rhinoceroses may be observed from the accommodation area.

Which animals can you watch from each lodge?

The four categories are not interchangeable: each one faces a different animal territory. Wildlife moves freely within its habitat, so a sighting at a specific time can never be guaranteed.

Animal experience Lodge category What you may observe
Malayan tigers Tiger Lodges Large windows and an animal-facing setting beside the tiger territory. The official park describes an immersive stay close to its Malayan tigers.
Cheetahs Cheetah Lodges Panoramic observation of the cheetah area from the lodge and its outdoor space.
African lions Lion Lodges Accommodation facing the lion territory, designed around observation of the pride from a protected indoor and outdoor setting.
Giraffes, antelopes and rhinoceroses Savannah Lodges A wider mixed-species panorama rather than one predator enclosure. This is the category for travellers who prefer an open savannah landscape.

What does the premium stay include?

The following package details were checked against the official Planète Sauvage accommodation pages and FAQ on 8 October 2026. Confirm the final booking summary because rates, menus, activities and equipment can change by date or category.

Item Included Optional, excluded or category-specific
Park admission Access is included from 10:00 on arrival day until the park closes on departure day. Paid experiences not named in the selected package remain separate.
Dinner Dinner is included in the standard overnight package. Drinks, aperitif packages, upgraded menus and dietary supplements may be extra. Check the selected menu and booking date.
Breakfast Breakfast is included. Optional additions are not part of the standard package unless shown in the rate.
Bed linen and towels The park FAQ states that bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. The public information checked did not clearly state that every bed is made before arrival. Confirm bed preparation, cot, child-bed and accessibility needs with the park.
Bathroom The lodge categories are presented with a private bathroom and toilet. Accessibility and internal layout differ by category; the Tiger Lodge is the category identified by the French guide for reduced-mobility access.
Kitchen and food storage Compact equipment may include a minibar or small fridge and hot-drink facilities, depending on the lodge. These are not advertised as full self-catering kitchens. Dinner and breakfast are already part of the package.
Terrace and animal viewing Each category is designed around an animal-facing window, terrace or viewing area. The precise orientation, privacy and outdoor furniture differ between lodge types.
Resident activity The French source and official stay information describe a resident activity linked to the Marine City and dolphin-care team. The programme and time can vary. Use the confirmation supplied for your stay rather than planning around an old timetable.
Cleaning The public pages checked do not list a separate standard end-of-stay cleaning option. Cleaning conditions and any exceptional charge are not detailed clearly enough to assume. Check the current house rules before booking.
Parking Standard park parking is available for visitors and lodge guests. Fuel, hire car, taxi and any charging costs remain traveller expenses.
Tourist tax and transport Not included in the lodge package. Any tourist tax shown at checkout, rail or air tickets, taxi and car hire must be budgeted separately.

How to choose the right animal stay

Best for a rare big-cat focus

Tiger Lodges

Choose this category for the Malayan tiger setting. It is also the category to check first when step-free or reduced-mobility requirements matter, but confirm the exact accessible unit directly with the park.

Best for fast-cat observation

Cheetah Lodges

The cheetah category prioritises a panoramic view of one species. It suits travellers who want a focused predator experience rather than a mixed savannah scene.

Best for a dramatic evening view

Lion Lodges

The lion territory is the central reason to choose this category. Compare the exact sleeping layout and terrace before booking, especially for a family of four or five.

Best for a broad panorama

Savannah Lodges

Choose the savannah for giraffes, antelopes and rhinoceroses within a wider landscape. It provides a different rhythm from watching a single predator territory.

Price policy: ZooSleep does not reproduce a fixed “from” price. Planète Sauvage prices vary with the lodge, date and party. Compare the live calendar and confirm exactly what the selected rate includes before paying.

Getting to Planète Sauvage from abroad

Planète Sauvage is in Port-Saint-Père, south-west of Nantes. The park’s access page places it roughly 15 minutes from the Nantes ring road, about 30 minutes from central Nantes and around 25 minutes from Nantes Atlantique Airport. The final journey is rural, so arrange it before travel.

  • By train: use Nantes as the practical mainline station, then continue by pre-booked taxi or hire car.
  • By air: Nantes Atlantique is the nearest major airport. Confirm taxi availability or collect a car before heading to the park.
  • By car: this is the simplest option for a lodge stay and for combining Planète Sauvage with the Atlantic coast or other Loire attractions.
  • Public transport: do not assume a frequent late-evening connection between the park and Nantes. Verify the exact date and lodge arrival instructions before relying on buses.
Planning order: select the animal and lodge category, check the package and arrival time, then book the Nantes transfer around the park’s instructions.
