Lumigny Safari Reserve: sleep facing African lions

Every room at Le Royaume des Lions faces the same 40,000-square-metre lion territory through large panoramic windows. Choose the room layout for your party, then remember that the lions move freely: the habitat view is direct, but their exact position at any moment is never guaranteed.

Choose your room, then add the park and meals you need

The room rate includes the lion view, bed linen, towels, beds prepared for arrival, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a private washroom and free parking for one vehicle. Park admission, breakfast and dinner are paid options rather than automatic inclusions.

Which animals can you observe from the hotel?

The hotel is built beside a large naturalistic territory occupied by a group of African lions. All three published room categories have large windows facing this habitat. You may see lions during the day or at night, but they choose where to rest and move.

Room category Capacity and layout Animal experience
Comfort Room Up to 2 adults and 3 children · queen bed, bunk beds and pull-out bed · 30 m². Panoramic windows face the lion territory. Blackout curtains let families close the view completely for sleep.
Premium Room 2 adults plus one baby under 3 · king-size bed · 30 m². The same direct lion-habitat outlook in a room designed mainly for couples.
Premium Accessible Room Double bed plus sofa bed · accessible washroom · close to lifts and shared areas. Large panoramic windows face the lions, with an accessible layout for guests with reduced mobility.
Observation note: the official hotel FAQ says lions move freely around the habitat, so distance and visibility change naturally. The panoramic restaurant and bar terrace provide another viewing point during the stay.

What is included, optional or not provided?

These practical details were checked against the hotel’s current room, FAQ, stay-planning and terms pages on 26 October 2026. Live prices and availability must still be checked in the official booking engine.

Item Included or provided Optional, excluded or to confirm
Lion view Every published room category has panoramic glazing facing the 40,000 m² lion territory. A close-up sighting at a particular time cannot be guaranteed because the animals move freely.
Park admission The hotel stay itself does not automatically include zoo admission. Add the paid Park–Hotel Pass for two consecutive park days during the stated opening season.
Breakfast Not included in the basic room rate. Optional buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant, normally served from 07:00 to 09:45.
Dinner Not included in the basic room rate. Dinner is available at Le Marula restaurant and should be reserved; menu and service dates can change.
Bed linen, towels and beds Sheets and towels are supplied, and the hotel’s current stay-planning page says beds are prepared before arrival. A travel cot is a paid option and must be requested.
Kitchen A kettle is listed in the rooms. No private kitchen, hob, microwave or refrigerator is listed for the room categories inspected.
Bathroom Private washroom, toilet, towels and toiletries. The exact layout varies by category. Book the Premium Accessible Room for the dedicated reduced-mobility layout.
Terrace A large shared panoramic terrace is available by the bar and restaurant. The current room pages do not promise a private terrace for each room.
Cleaning The accommodation is operated as a hotel room and prepared for guests. No separate end-of-stay cleaning fee is stated on the inspected public room pages; check the final booking conditions.
Parking Free parking for one vehicle per room, close to the hotel. No charging point is available onsite; nearby charging must be arranged separately.
Activities No animal activity is automatically included with the basic room rate. Park admission, VIP experiences and hotel celebration packages are paid additions.
Taxes and supplements Only the items shown in your selected room/package should be treated as included. Tourist tax, late checkout, cot, meals, park access and experience supplements must be checked in the live checkout.

The animal experience

All room categories face the same lion habitat through large windows. Choose by party size and accessibility, not by a different promised species or guaranteed position of the animals.

Price note: the hotel advertises room-only rates that vary by date and package. ZooSleep does not reproduce a single headline price because meals, park passes, occupancy and optional extras materially change the total.

Getting to Lumigny Safari Reserve

Le Royaume des Lions is at 2 chemin du Plessis in Lumigny-Nesles-Ormeaux, beside the wildlife park. The hotel provides pedestrian access towards the zoological parks when the relevant admission option has been selected.

  • By car: this is the simplest option for an international stay. One vehicle per room can use the free hotel car park.
  • By public transport: the park’s official access information lists the Seine-et-Marne Express line 01 and the “Lumigny – Parc des Félins” stop, around 300 metres from the park entrance. Timetables and the walking route to the hotel should be checked before travel.
  • From Paris or Disneyland Paris: do not rely on a generic journey-time claim. Check a live route planner for your date, especially for the final rural connection and evening arrival.
Practical order: confirm hotel check-in, meal reservations and the Park–Hotel Pass first. Then plan the final connection, because transport is not included.
