CERZA Safari Lodge: which animals will you sleep beside?
The reason to book CERZA is not simply to sleep inside a zoo. It is to choose an accommodation setting where the animals are part of the stay: Arctic wolves, siamangs or the species of the Asian plain. The exact lodge or tent matters, because the view and experience are not the same in every category.

See the animals. Picture the night. Then compare dates.
Availability and lodge views vary. Open the official booking page, compare the exact animal-facing category and read the final package inclusions before paying.

Which animals can you observe from your accommodation?
CERZA’s accommodation is distributed across several animal areas. If a particular species is the reason for your trip, book the matching category rather than relying on the general “Safari Lodge” name.
| Animal experience | Accommodation to look for | What the official description says |
|---|---|---|
| Arctic wolves | Wolf Safari Tent | A safari tent positioned for a direct view of the Arctic wolf enclosure. This is the clearest choice if wolves are the main reason for booking. |
| Siamangs | Three-person Zoobservatory | The official FAQ identifies this category as facing the siamang island. |
| Indian rhinoceroses, Bactrian camels, axis deer and blackbuck | Four-person Zoobservatory or Asian Plain Safari Tent | These categories overlook the Asian plain and its mixed-species setting. |
| Other park animals | Standard and Premium lodges, depending on allocation | CERZA also lists settings involving wallabies, muntjac deer, pelicans and other animals. Ask which species and orientation correspond to the exact unit offered. |
What is included in the premium stay?
At this price level, the useful question is what the rate actually covers. CERZA includes the accommodation essentials and park access, but meals and some comfort services remain optional.
Park access included
Admission is included for every registered guest throughout the stay. Official information says guests can enter the park from 10:30 on arrival day and continue visiting until closing on departure day.
Self-catering comfort
Accommodation includes an equipped kitchen, a shower room with toilet and a private terrace. Wi-Fi, sheets, towels and a kitchen kit are listed as included.
Beds are not identical across rates
Premium lodge beds are prepared. In other categories, guests may need to make the beds themselves or pay the current bed-making supplement.
| Service | Included? | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Zoo admission | Yes | Included for all registered occupants during the stay. |
| Sheets and towels | Yes | Provided in every accommodation category according to the official stay information. |
| Beds made on arrival | Premium only | Other categories can add bed-making; the official page currently lists €14.90 per bed. |
| Breakfast | No | Optional continental breakfast delivered to the terrace; the official page currently lists €9.90 per person. |
| Dinner | No | Buffet dining or meal trays may be booked separately, subject to the operating calendar. The official buffet page currently lists €25.90 per adult and €14.90 per child. |
| Kitchen, bathroom and terrace | Yes | An equipped kitchen, shower room with toilet and private terrace are part of the accommodation setup. |
| Toiletries | No | Bring your own shower gel and shampoo. |
| Exact lodge location | Not normally | A specific-number/location choice can be added for a supplement, subject to availability. |
How to choose the right CERZA stay
Choose by animal first
Pick the wolf tent for Arctic wolves, the three-person Zoobservatory for siamangs, or an Asian-plain category for rhinos, camels and mixed-species views.
Choose Premium for less setup
If arriving with children or late in the day, the Premium format is useful because the beds are prepared. Other categories may offer more atmosphere but require more organisation.
Price meals before booking
Add breakfast, dinner and any bed-making or location-choice supplements to the room rate. The headline accommodation price is not the complete food-and-comfort budget.

Arrival times and transport
The animal and package choice comes first, but the rural last mile still needs planning. Lisieux is the useful railway station; CERZA is in Hermival-les-Vaux and the final connection is by road.
| Starting point | Practical route | Last mile |
|---|---|---|
| Paris | Train from Paris to Lisieux | Pre-booked taxi or hire car to Hermival-les-Vaux |
| London | Eurostar to Paris, cross-city transfer, then train to Lisieux | Taxi or hire car; allow a generous Paris transfer buffer |
| Normandy road trip | Drive towards Lisieux and follow the official CERZA directions | Direct arrival at the lodge |
Before you book
- Start with the animal you most want to observe, then choose the matching accommodation category.
- Confirm whether beds are prepared in the selected rate.
- Add breakfast, dinner and other optional services to the real trip budget.
- Check capacity and bed layout for every adult and child.
- Book the Lisieux transfer before buying non-refundable rail tickets.
- Ask the lodge team about accessibility and the exact viewing setup if either is essential.
